The Memorial to Victims of Communism matches in a tactful and dignified way with Maarjamäe Memorial that was designed in Soviet times. The ceremonial procession – starting from Pirita road – within the black walls on its sides with more than 20 000 names of the victims written on them leads to the garden of apple trees – a reference to redemption – as a kind of Estonian paradise. There is a separate memorial area dedicated to the memory of staff officers.
Guided tours on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm. Meeting in front of the memorial by Pirita road.
