The purpose of the grand design of Tammsaare Park was to liven up the modernist public garden with the statue of the writer (sculptor Jaak Soans, architect Rein Luup, 1978). Thus a new center resembling flower or blast was designed, new paths and numerous benches were added and new and interesting sculptures were also introduced. The futuristic lamp-posts together with the frameworks dedicated for exhibitions may be regarded as independent pieces of art. In addition new trees and bushes were planted that make the park seem freshened up and cozy.
Guided tours on Saturday and Sunday at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 pm. Meeting in front of Tammsaare statue.
