About

The building of Swedish Embassy is one of the greatest historical ones of its’ kind in the Old City of Tallinn. The palace of Von Rosen in one of the few houses that was built in Tallinn under Swedish rule, as by the time the Swedes arrived in 1561, there could be found almost no vacant plots for building in the city. This noble palace was established in 1670s and it is considered to be one of the finest examples of classical Baroque in Estonia. With its ground floor, harmonic facade, rhythmically divided columns and high roof the house is exceptional in the local context.
